Caversham Wild life Park

During the shcool holidays  me and my sister went to caversham wild life park in Perth.  We where given a map of the park which showed where all of the native wildlife are .

There is an open kangaroo pen where you can go in and feed them and take photos with them. There is an Australian homestead arena where you can hold animals and learn about them . My sister got to hold a snake and had her photo with it . there is also a farm show where we watched sheep shearing and sheep dogs mustering  sheep.

There is an enclosure with farm animals and there was a goat that followed me around and grabbed my map and ate it.

My favourite animal at the park was the Rufus Bettong, it looks like a small mouse with kangaroo legs. It feeds on roots, herbs, grasses and small insects but fungi is its main diet. It only lives for 4 to 6 years .  It is a small marsupial (rat kangaroo).

There is a shop where you can buy lunch and a gift shop on the way out of the park.

It took us nearly all day to get around the park and I was exhausted by the end of the day but it was a great day.

I am hoping next school holidays that I can work as a volunteer at the park and maybe that will lead into a job for me  in the future.
