football award

My football award
When I was playing football in under 10’s, I won the Justin Chick Award. The Justin Chick Award is the best on ground for that day. Justin Chick day is when St Pats and Northampton football club played each other in memory of Justin Chick.
When the presentation started we all sat in our teams and then they started to call the best on ground. The best on ground won 2 vouchers, a water bottle and a hat. When they called my name my heart was racing with excitement. After that mum was at school so I put down my prize and went to school with my water bottle and my hat. When I showed mum she was happy so then she drove me back to grab my vouchers. But I forgot where I put them, I spent about 1 hour looking for my vouchers. But I could not find them. I was so disappointed that I could not find them.

My Accomplishment

My Accomplishment

The sand was cold. My feet nestled into the sand; burrowing deep. I watched the sky light up deep orange and light yellow. The sun was coming up over the hills. The ocean was glassy and smooth. There was a nice warm breeze.

A few days before, I didn’t want to do this contest. I was about to give up, but I changed my mind and decided to participate. Small waves were rolling in perfect lines, before breaking on the shore. I felt a wave of uneasiness sweep over me, knocking my confidence off its feet. My Dad looked at me and said some words of encouragement; I smiled at him and gave him a hug. As the day progressed I got more and more nervous, it was about 30 minutes until my heat. I started to cry; the fear had gotten to me. Dad decided to walk me down the beach. I started to feel better, but, as we turned around, I planted my foot right on a bee. It stung me and Dad carried me back to the little beach tent we were sitting in. We got out the sting and applied ice.

The loudspeaker told the girls in my round to get a rashie from the kiosk. I put mine on and lined up on the sand. We paddled out and the siren blew. The water was smooth, but I couldn’t concentrate on the beauty of the ocean and scenery, I need to catch a wave. The siren went before I knew it and the waves I caught and the surf I had, just flew by.

The next day I was less nervous, swimming and waiting for my heat. It was a warm day and the sun was beating down on me, giving me a very funny tan line. The wind picked up and the sand pierced my skin as it blew on me. When it was time for my heat, I was nervous, but adrenaline was pumping through my veins. I was super excited. I went into the water and started to hassle for waves. Again it went quite quickly. I was over the moon to know that I had just completed my first comp. They didn’t announce the rankings.

We then went home and got ready to go to get the trophies. I came third and my good friend, Jack Robinson (who is a professional surfer and competed in one of the WSL completion events), came to have dinner with us and watch me get my trophy. Everyone wanted to get a photo with him and get his autograph. We had dinner and played around. I was incredibly proud of myself. I had so much fun.

my accomplishment

All my life I have been playing football. I have now been playing for 10 years, I have been playing for Northampton rams for 4 years but I’m going into my fifth year, I am going into my 6 season because I played 12s and 14s last year.

Along my journey of football I have won best and fairest and most consistent.

When I was 10 I won the best and fairest award. It made me feel really awesome I felt like I was the best, I was really stoked to win that award because its one of the best awards you can get. That year I was 1 touch away from winning the most prestigious award in JRN football.

When I won most consistent in 2015 I was really happy because I wasn’t expecting it.

Because I did motocross that year and the year before, I missed a couple of games, so that was really cool.

The best year of my life

Last year was the best year of my life.  I won my first trophy last year.  I got it when i went on this tennis camp it was amazing.  Tom and Harrison and I went to this camp together, it was down in Geraldton.  First we went and set up all of our gear then went to the tennis courts. When we got there we did the beep test, a test where you had to run on the beep like this beep run beep run beep run and so on. For the first two and a half days we did the basics like forehand, backhand, vollies and SMASHES! Then on the last day at the tennis camp we had a massive tournament.  I had to verse 8 people like Tom and Harrison. There were about 64  at the tennis camp and I was in the second highest division. I had won all of my games and had to verse Tom in the last game. I had won I was so happy.  It came to trophy time. I got champion and it was the first trophy I had ever got and that is why that was the greatest  memory of my life.

proud

I felt really proud when I went to Jewel Cave. It was really far down and I so wanted to back out but when I did it I was so happy. They even told us facts and showed use around the cave.

You would think that there are jewels in Jewel Cave but there are none there is no colour there is only the light display.

In the cave there were lots of things to look at – the erosion in some of the rocks looked like Karri trees and there were also stalactites.

There was this major hole where the first person ever came down, as the hole was there animals would fall down and slowly die – there was even a possum skeleton just lying on top of a rock not like most artefact. It was amazing.

It was really cold, I even said to my mum and dad that it would warm but was I wrong. As you were walking the dew on the wall would make you wet not a good feeling.

I went with my aunty and uncle and their kids, my cousins. There were spots on the walk with plastic overhead and some of the stalactites. I had to duck but as my aunty is smaller she thought she was okay but she hit her head and started laughing.

My Achievement

My greatest achievement.

When I first started to play tennis. I couldn’t do a thing. I was known for being horrible at tennis. Every single match or game we would play I would always be on the losing side. On the last three days the coach started giving us points for every game we won, we would receive one. Whoever managed to get the most points from winning games would receive a prize. I wasn’t able to get any points. Everybody else had about 4-9 points each. Me, I was on 0.

But the coach must have felt bad for me considering she said that in the last game the winner would get 10 points! I knew I wasn’t going to win. But I still decided to try. I gave it a shot. To mine and everybody’s surprise. I won. But there was one other person on 10 points just the same. Having everybody watching didn’t really help. The match began with me zoned out. Time speed was changing. I was nervous. I couldn’t tell if it was fast or slow motion. But through a lucky shot I managed to win.

Expecting a new tennis racket. I was given a pair of pink socks. I didn’t seem to mind. It must be that sense of achievement that makes you happy. Against all odds I had done it. The one thing I thought I could never do. Win. It was finally accomplished.

My achievement

My name is Thomas and I am going to tell you about my best achievement that I won.
My best achievement was when I won runner up in my first tennis tournament at tennis camp. The camp was in Geraldton and the Geraldton Camp School and there were around 60 participants. There were 8 in our division, Me, Harrison, Beau, Wret, Jacob, Thalia, Emma and Madi. Our division was second highest.
The camp went for four, action packed days of training, cardio, running and beep tests and more. At the camp there was amazing food especially for dinner, one night we had lasagna for dinner and chocolate mousse for dessert.
One night we had a movie night and we watched Fast and Furious 7 and then Pitch Perfect 2. It may seem like we were spoilt but we were playing hard until at least 8 o’clock every day.
On the last day of the camp we had a tournament which I recon was the best. it was only a small tournament but it was my first. In the first game I versed Thalia, I won 6/0. The next game I versed Emma and won again 6/0. The next game I versed Madi and won 6/4. At this point I thought I was going pretty well… and I was. The next game I won against Harrison 7/5. In the last game I versed Beau and unfortunately lost 4/6. I would have won champ but beau just bet me. Beau won champ and I won runner up. I was still pretty happy with runner up because it was my first tennis tournament.

My accomplishment

My accomplishment:

At the beginning of 2010, I was persuaded to start training in karate. Being only the beginning I was at the end of the line wearing a white belt, along with 2 more beginners. Over the year I had been building up my potential and my strength.

Finally the holidays had come and the karate season was over for the year. By this time I was green belt, with 2 stripes. In the holidays I was advised to continue keeping fit, this means running every day and eating healthy, so I was ready to compete in the karate competition against Carnarvon with the rest of my class.

Finally the day had come my best friend’s Mother had pulled up on the drive way as I was walking down stairs, my mum not being far behind me. I loaded all of my luggage into the car and said goodbye to my mum whilst I was hopping in the back of the car. I sat next to her son and daughter Amity and Indie. Both Amity and I were competing in the same karter and we were both fairly nervous.

Finally we reach Carnarvon PCYC and Amity and I were told to go stretch in the hall and prepare for our competition. About half an hour later our karate sensae came out to gather us all for a group talk, she told us just to do our best and compete at the best we can. When we had finished our group discussion, I was first up. I was so nervous but started my karter in front of the judges. After I had finished my karter I was put aside so the opposition could complete her karter. After everyone has competed it was time to eat, I had an apple and a bottle of water to keep me energised.

After everyone had eaten, I was first up to do some non-contact sparring against a girl named Jamilla. It was so much fun and everyone was so proud of me as I had won both competitions against Carnarvon.

Finally presentations came and everyone was so excited to see who had won either Shark Bay or Carnarvon. The points were announced for each individual and I had the highest points out of everyone, I was accomplished with a medal of winning both tournaments. Finally the winning team was announced and it was SHARKBAY, we had a mass of 657 points. Everyone was so happy and my sensae was so proud of me for winning first place in everything.

Now it was time to head back to Shark Bay, but before we all went home, sensae wanted us to all go to the Shark Bay hall as she wanted to award us with our new belts.

After the long drive home, Amity and I were so tired and just wanted to go home, but we were both looking forward to getting awarded with our new belts. I finally upgraded to a blue belt with 1 stripe and think it was the best day as I and won a medal, upgraded to a blue belt and our team won for our karate grading.

My Accomplishment from (year 5 – 6)

The story of my Accomplishment.

I was about 10 at the time. It was a regular, normal day when this happened; nothing much but work and play. I was doing quite well at the time, going a little ahead of other students. And then came along the testing for something called ‘PEAC’.

PEAC (Primery Extension And Challenge, or something close to that.) was a small program for talented primary students. I didn’t know much about it at the time, but I did the testing anyway. A few students and I were sat down around a table and passed a piece of paper with numerous questions and puzzles. By now I knew it was something important; we were sat far away from each other and the questions were not the normal ones.

A few challenging, some harder, and some easy. It was all strange but I did each question one by one until the test was ended. We handed the tests in and exchanged nervous glances between students. Then we waited. And waited. The answers never came in, and we got bored.

And then one day, it came back, with answers, tests and results.

I was the only one of my class to have finished the test with high results, just enough to get in. I was a part of PEAC!
