Five things you might not know about me…

  1. In 2012 & 2013, I spent a total of 17 months travelling around Australia with my family.
  2. Whilst we were staying/caretaking on Dirk Hartog Island in 2013, we ran out of fresh fruit and vegetables towards the end of our stay. After completely vegging out once we got back to the mainland, I was diagnosed with appendicitis, and had surgery to have my appendix removed.
  3. No, I did not get a perm. My natural hair IS this curly! (you don’t know how often I am asked that question)
  4. I had a sea snake wrap around my ankle in Monkey Mia!
  5. I was home-schooled for a total of 5 years (year 2 to year 6).

So there you have it! 5 things you may not have known about me! 😀

Here are five things you may not know about me –

1. I was born in Glasgow in Scotland but left when I was 21 to come to Australia alone on a nine months working visa.

2. I have not always been a teacher. I was a shop owner, a pub manager, a secretary, a cleaner and a jillaroo among other things.

3. I left school in year 11. I had to go back to school at the age of 38 to do year 12 at Rockingham TAFE so that I could go to university.

4. I study an online course outside of school so I also have homework and assignments to do. I feel your pain!

5. I am a terrible swimmer and scared of the water.
