SURFING

About 2 weeks age there was a big swell coming to Kalbarri It was huge about 6-8 foot out the point and way too big to surf unless you’re crazy. No one was out there so Devlin and I cheeked red bluff. On huge days it’s always smaller at red Bluff and usually good so we went and checked it looked really fun but even a bit big. Ben and Oska were out there on the boogie boards and Jasper was out freezing. Jaspa came up to us and told us to come out. Not long after Ben and Oska did too but we weren’t sure about it.. We watched the surf for a bit we were being really chicken so we decide to at least swim in the shore break. After a while it dropped off a bit and I just committed and decided to go out and it ended up being really fun not as big as we thought .

My Week

First of all this week is not starting out on a Monday. It was Friday afternoon when one of my friends told me he and a few others were going kayaking  on the weekend. As I had nothing planned I asked if i could tag along. My mate said yes so I was hyped for the weekend.

Friday night came and I was feeling pretty sick, I thought it was just going to be for the night but it lasted all weekend unfortunately. I was sick from Friday night till Monday night. The good thing though, it was raining all weekend so i didn’t miss out on anything, my friends didn’t go anywhere and neither did I. So it worked out good apart from me being sick because I hate being sick and im sure everyone else does  as well.

The week carried on and I was back at school after I had the Monday off due to sickness. Now that I say that though being sick isn’t too bad if you miss out on school.

Stories

A man died and because he had been a good person, he went to Heaven, where Saint Peter greeted him at the door.

“Welcome!” he said, “You can enter Heaven right away, but, because you lived such a good life, you can also go and check out Hell first, if you like.”

The man was rather curious and said –well, why not – and he went down all the stairs to reach the door of Hell, which opened before him.Behind the door, he saw many people sitting around tables with delicious food! But they were all very sad, and suffering, because instead of hands they had long knives and forks as arm extensions and they did not manage to put any of this great food in their mouths.

The man went back up to Heaven and said to Saint Peter “Wow, am I glad that I can go to Heaven. That is really some punishment.”

“Welcome to Heaven,” Saint Peter said, as he let the man in.”What did he see there?” He saw many people sitting around tables with delicious food, just like in Hell! And just like in Hell, they also had these long fork and knive extensions on their arms!

But in Heaven, the people weren’t crying or cursing, because they were sticking the food in each other’s mouths! “Try this”, they laughed. “And this!”, and they had lots of fun in the process.

Lesson: Happiness comes from making other people happy. Don’t be selfish but care for other people, and you will be taken care of as well.

Myself I don’t believe in hell and heaven but when people die that I know I like to know that when they go they are in a good place and I don’t have to worry about them!

P.s. Sorry but I didn’t write this but I do like it so I stole it.

Shark Fishing at Carrarang. homework week5

For Mothers Day mum decided to go camping a Carrarang for the weekend. We started the 4 hour drive at 10 o’clock and got there at about 2 o’clock..

As soon as we got there I went over and had a look at the water off some rocks and straight away saw 4 shovel nose ray/sharks  sitting in the water, so I quickly set up my swag, then my rod and reel with some 60lbs leader, small circle hook and small sinker and put some mullet on, walked onto the rocks and saw a small shovely swimming past. I cast my bait in front of him, he stopped on top of the mullet so I let him eat it. As he started to swim away the line tightened. I set the hook, it was only a little one but put up a good fight and to my surprise it came to the surface and jumped fully out of the water. When I got it in I quickly got the hook out and let it go.

On the next morning I went and fished off the rocks. The fishing was pretty quiet with a few small fish, so I put out a bigger bait and hooked into a good fish. It screamed off out into the deep blue, it took me about ten minutes to get it back to the shore<Then it came into my field of view, it was a shovely at about 4 foot long, so I took the hook out got a few photos and let it go to swim another day.

On the last night/Sunday Mum,Dad and I were fishing off the rocks there were a few yellowfin bream hanging around. I had my rod sitting in a rod holder made of rocks when i started to get a few bites and then there was a big bend in my rod and line flying off my Shimano Stradic FJ 4000. Islowly picked up my rod and set the hook on this big fish. It was a good strong fight on light gear. It was a bit of a longer fight around 20 minutes when it finally gave up and came to the shore. It was a Black Tip Reef Shark going at around 5 foot long, with a few good photos and a successful release back to the depths.
