TERM 2 HOMEWORK – YEAR 9 (NON-STUDENT BLOGGERS)

YEAR 9 HOMEWORK – TERM 2

This term your homework will be done on the Class Blog. It will take the form of a weekly post and will be marked on a point system with a maximum of 90 points available by the end of term. Your marks will be merged with your Term 1 written work in the library and on the blog and changed into a grade for the Writing Strand for your Semester 1 report.

Your weekly homework task is as follows:

  • Each week you will write a post on the class blog. You can choose what you want to write about or use one from the list of suggestions below. Your posts should be around 300 words. Pay attention to spelling, grammar and capital letters. Each post is worth up to 8 points.
  • You will also comment on one of your classmate’s posts – a different student each week. Comments should be constructive and polite. For example, “I particularly liked…….. about your post because………”. Have you thought about………
  • Each comment is worth up to 2 points.

Suggestions for posts –

  • Share a day in your life, starting from when you first wake up to when you go to bed – what’s your routine?
  • Write a letter to your younger self, and share some things you wish you had known back then
  • Who has inspired you throughout your life?
  • What are some things you’ve learned from a recent class, course, or book?
  • What’s the best & worst advice you’ve ever received?
