Strange events-a short story

We thought we were the only ones who noticed the strange events…

Then we saw the news on the TV…

We decided to keep it secret because we didn’t believe it when it happened… but that secret was not going to last long…

It was a Saturday, Mark and I went down to get some lunch, nothing out of the ordinary happened until we got to the shops. That’s when it happened, we heard a car’s tyres screeching around a corner then we heard gunshots “BANG BANG BANG” Three quick shots went off then we heard the car rev it’s engine…it was coming for us…We were like rabbits in headlights.

Suddenly we were pushed out of the way. This kid saved us. He wasn’t that much older then us.
He yelled “What are you doing? Follow me!”

We did what he said. He led us into the shops, which were empty, and ran around taking stuff from every shelf he could see. We were still shocked at what happened earlier.

He shouted again. “What are you doing? Let’s go!”

He led us to the roof of the shop and looked.

“My God…” Mark said “see why we had to hurry?”

The whole city was in chaos… people screaming, helicopters flying, fire everywhere. Suddenly a helicopter was flying out of control.

“Look!” the kid said.

Suddenly I wished I hadn’t… A person fell out of the helicopter. Then it was spiraling into a building. It scraped against the building, finally hit the ground and sat there.

“Come on” the boy said.

We went down to a tent passed the helicopter where lots of people were gathered. Mark saw his parents and ran to them and same with the other boy. The soldiers pushed everybody into the helicopters. They were safe.

We thought we were the only ones who had notice the strange event………
Mum, dad and I were sitting in the lounge room watching TV when we saw the news report we were shocked, we thought we were the only ones that noticed the cow falling out of the sky with aliens on its back. It all started when we were coming out of shop we heard a strange noise but it was a quick noise like a ring in your ear or something but we ignored it.
We got in the car and we were driving home and we stopped to have a look at jakes. I was looking out the window looking for whales but in the distance I thought I saw a cow but I shook my head, blinked my eyes and looked again but it was gone so I asked mum and dad if they saw anything they said no. I thought I was the only one that saw what I thought was a cow.
We left jakes and then mum was yelling, yelling loud enough that we couldn’t understand what she was saying “there’s a cow floating in the sky and there is something on its back”. Dad and I were puzzled we didn’t understand what was happening then suddenly everything went pitch black I couldn’t see anything, I couldn’t hear anything and I don’t think I was moving.
I don’t know how long I was unconscious for but it felt like forever I woke up and I felt this pain going through my leg it was going up and down my leg I thought it was in a weird position and I just had pins and needles but I looked at my leg and there was this long stick in my leg and it was pouring out with blood and one of my bones was sticking out the leg

My closest family member.

Like Aunt Baba and Adeline, I also share a close relationship with a family member. I know most people would have the same, but really she is all I have. My Mum is always there for me, since the beginning, like all Mums. But I don’t know, this is much different. We have more than just a Mother and Daughter relationship, she is also like my best friend, a best friend that I can tell anything to and she would always understand. My Mum is not ordinary, I find her very different to others, she is always doing something interesting either around the house, at work or in town with me. Wherever she goes, I go too. It is a special bond and I am so happy to have this sort of bond with such a particular, special person. She spoils me rotten and just seems to be able to understand what I’m having trouble with, she is my hero and i love her…..

My Chinese Horoscope!

My Chinese Horoscope is a Goat.

  • I am artistic.
  • I’m wise, witty, charming, compassionate and gentle.
  • Goats are loved by friends and family.
  • Goats enjoys relaxed and calm environments.
  • Goats prefer small friend groups and small gatherings not big gatherings.
  • Since goats do not enjoy being forced to adhere to schedules.
  • As a Goat, in the Monkey year 2016, you will pay extra attention to health and career as a bewildering amount of wild monkey schemes and fierce competition at work may throw him for a loop this year.

Chinese Horoscope; Horse

The year I was born in was the year of the horse. Horses are counted as people with contagious enthusiasm, happy, and having many friends. They enjoy chatting and have good images. Usually, they are brave, but can be cowardly. Although they love freedom horses are not truly independant, as they need support from friends and family.

This… Is not me. Honestly, I’m not that enthusiastic, and chatting only happens between close friends. I’m neither  brave nor cowardly; not running from things unless it’s the only choice, or the smartest one. It’s right when it says I like freedom, but after a while I need help from someone else (I’m scared of doing wrong and then having people tell me so).

Horses are known as the most friendly of all the signs. Being intelligent and attractive (For me, half of that is correct), you draw friends and family close easily. Despite being close to people, you need room to grow, space to roam, and freedom to do as you wish. You dislike being fenced in, and are frustrated and irritated by those who try to do so.

Again, mostly not me. Though some people say I’m friendly, I’m usually quiet and form friends by sticking around in places. Drawing friends and family close isn’t usually what I can do. Those that try to fence me in… Get nothing. I enjoy an enclosed place with a few things to do. I don’t really need room to grow. Those that smother my independence? Also nothing. I usually need help with things.

All in all, I have a close relationship with friends and tend to keep quiet. I’m intelligent but not that friendly. And, really, I seem like a monkey or a goat.

My Chinese Horoscope

My Chinese Horoscope is a Horse. It says that horses approach life with contagious enthusiasm. They can be happy but not all the time. They love to talk and have good images. People think we are brave and independent but we can be very cowardly. We love freedom and are not very independent because we also rely on others for help. We do have many lucky numbers – 1, 3, 4, 8, 13, 14, 41 and 43. We are known for being the most friendly of all the Chinese zodiac signs. We can be intelligent and attractive. We can come closer to family easily. Althouh we require room to grow and we need space to roam. People try to fence us in only to frustrate or irritate us. We have NO patience at all for the people trying to ruin our independence.

This year is 2016 which is the Fire Monkey year. We will apparently have great joy with family and friends. We will discover long lost frineds throughout the year. I definitely enjoy social events and connections with other people. This year 2016 is convoluted for the swift and playful horse. There are complicated twists and turns. Unexpected events are going to happen. Unforseen events will happen if the Horse plays their wild card.

This year is time for the horse to find what it likes. Play politics conservatively and also have some fun throughout. They are always leaving their escape route open. However we do need to be aware of becoming toooooo ambitious and there may be rude suprises. We need to take care and avoid accidents especially when driving or even using metal tools to cut. We are leaning to the value of compromise and sharing with others. We can have selfish behaviour and it will dire consequences.

My Chinese Horoscope

Anybody born in 2002 are seen to be a horse. I was born in 2002. They are seen as being happy nearly all the time and that they have lots of friends. They enjoy chatting and have good images. People think of them as brave and independent but can be quite cowardly. Horses love freedom but are not fully independent. They tend to rely on others for support.

Their lucky numbers are: 1, 3, 4, 8, 13, 14, 41, 43.

They are thought to be the most friendly of all the zodiac signs. They are intelligent and attractive. They require space and room to be able to grow and they need freedom. The people who try to take away your freedom usually just frustrate and irritate your good nature. There is no patience given to those who try to smother your independence.

I am a horse, but to be honest I’m not really sure if i am one?

Nerf Gun Warfare

Like Aunt Baba and Adeline relationship its like my cousin Jayden and I.  I get along with him because we like the same things such as Nerf Gun wars yeah!   Once we had a massive Nerf Gun War at Harrison’s house, it went for hours.  Jayden and Harrison kept ganging up on me.

My Close Family

My close family is my grandfather and grandmother. Except, I’d call them Nan and Pop. It was just a thing I did.

When I was a little younger, my family lived close to their house. A short walk away and we’d be there, and we’d see Nan and Pop and stick around and watch tv and play games. Except, instead of just doing that, sometimes I’d see Pop doing work, and Nan cleaning or helping us out.

Now, I didn’t know it much at the time, but Pop taught me a lot. He showed me his favourite tin of liquorice ( He always shared a little with me; I got the taste for it from him.), and he showed me how to play chess. He was one of the best chess players I’d seen at the time, but it’s harder to remember for the moment.

Nan was always beautiful; she had beautiful hair, dark and pretty curly.

He was always around, and I’d always hug him. He had that weird smell that old people had, but I never really cared about it. He wasn’t towering and huge, but he was tall and had a large belly.

Christmas was great over there, Nan and Pop would always be happy. We were either at their house or out on the canal, looking at the Christmas lights. Either way, Christmas was great. Presents everywhere, walks over to a hill (We went there to take the dog for a walk and to run around.)

Pop showed us how to use the crab nets to catch fresh crabs from the canal, which we sometimes ate at the house. We sometimes fished with him, too.

One day, we got a new dog. She was an Alaskan Malamute, but only a puppy. And I’ve got to say, she caused a mess in our house. Ruining carpets next to beds, running around and howling whenever she liked. We couldn’t do anything about it in the end, but then Nan and Pop came along. They took her in, and within a week she still howled, but became a whole lot less trouble.

We moved away after a while, away from Madurah. Too polluted, a bit diseased, and too harsh for our family. Moving had two sides; We weren’t sick anymore. We instantly lost colds and fevers moving away. But the bad side was; our cousins, family, Nan and Pop, and other relatives, were away.

This meant visits down there were very rare. It was hours and hours away; we were lucky to see them twice a year. So this meant visits up and down were treasured deeply. Seeing Nan and Pop was always a dream; we walked up the hill, now walking their new dog, (Her name was Snow; she was a great big dog, but wouldn’t hurt a fly. Unless you were another dog.). Everything was good.
