All students should have a current school diary.  It is important that your child get used to using the diary daily to write in homework from each of their classes.  It is also a helpful reminder to students and to parents/guardians when permission slips are due, when important school events are happening, when your child is required to bring in special requirements for a class (such as swimming gear), and so on.

The school diary is also an excellent form of communication between the teacher and parent/guardian.  For this reason, I check diaries weekly on a MONDAY to ensure students are using it appropriately and to scan for any comments or notes from parents.  Feel free to write a comment or note to me in your child’s diary at any time. Please initial the diary weekly and check for any comments made by me or another teacher.
